This Privacy Policy explains how Kidcomove collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit kidcomove.com, place an order, sign up to our emails or contact us. Kidcomove is the data controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. The information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number, order details and any messages you send us.
  • Payment information: handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe, through Shopify's secure checkout. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Information collected automatically: such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. How we use your information

  • To process, deliver and support your order, including returns and refunds – to perform our contract with you.
  • To reply to your questions – legitimate interests.
  • To keep our website secure, prevent fraud and improve our shop – legitimate interests.
  • To send marketing emails if you have signed up – consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations – legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Who we share it with

We only share your information where needed to run our business: Shopify (our e-commerce platform), Stripe (payments), delivery carriers, email and customer-service tools, analytics and advertising providers (only if you accept those cookies), professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.

5. International transfers

Some service providers, including Shopify and Stripe, may process data outside the UK. Where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run our shop, for example to remember your basket and keep checkout secure. With your consent we also use analytics and marketing cookies. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using our cookie banner and change your choice in your browser settings at any time.

7. How long we keep your data

Order records are kept for as long as needed to fulfil your order and meet legal and tax requirements (normally six years). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Customer-service messages are kept for up to two years.

8. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email contact@kidcomove.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails if you sign up. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us to be removed.

10. Children's privacy

Although we sell products for children, our website and shop are intended for adults aged 18 and over – parents, carers and other adults buying for children. Children should not use this website or place orders.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or carer and believe your child has given us personal data, please contact us at contact@kidcomove.com.

11. Keeping your data secure

Our website and checkout are protected by SSL/TLS encryption, and payments are processed on Shopify's PCI DSS-compliant checkout. No online service can be completely secure, so please contact us straight away if you think your information has been compromised.
